Video To Increase Blog Traffic

Video seems to be having a love affair with the major search engines and may be your best bet to help increase blog traffic. Video is in my opinion the fastest and easiest way for you to get ranking on a specific keyword.  Although google’s algorithm is changing it does appear that they are taking a very special liking to video.  As your video gains momentum and people are viewing it, they will also be exposed to any websites or blogsites you attach to it.  You can funnel people to your sites by way of video and increase blog traffic.

Youtube to increase blog traffic

Youtube is a free and easy to use site that will host your videos for you.  Just open up an account and upload any video under 10 minutes long.  The most important thing to focus on is your title, description, and tags.

Your title should be direct, to the point and include your main keywords.  Title weighs heavily when search engines rank you for a keyword phrase.

Description of your video should be keyword rich and well thought out summaries of what your video is about.  Remember search engines can not decipher what is in your video.  It relies heavily on your description.

Tag your video for any and all keywords you are trying to get rank with.  Again search engines can not read what is in your video at this point so your ad copy is that much more important.

Don’t Miss This Opportunity To Increase Blog Traffic

The online world of video seems to just be getting started so don’t waste any more time.  Get on the video band wagon and start producing so you can enjoy the benefits for years to come.  Video will be one of your best tools if you are trying to increase blog traffic.

Increase Blog Traffic

Four Steps To Increase Blog Traffic

My interest in online marketing really just got started a few months ago.  At first the amount of information I was trying to ingest was overwhelming.  It seemed that I could learn about all of the pieces but trying to put them together felt impossible.  I wanted answers but everyone seemed to be selling a system to yet another one of the pieces of the puzzle. I needed some blueprints so I could start building my business.  That was the missing piece.  This blog post is for everyone searching for a one stop blog shop. A four step system overview including everything from how to get your own blog to how to increase blog traffic and finally how to make money with your blog.

Step 1 Build your blog site to increase blog traffic.

If your intentions are to try to make some money online your best bet is to let a professional build your blog site using wordpress.org.  WordPress offers themes like thesis that will allow all of your pages to be Search Engine Optimized (SEO) so you can increase blog traffic.  Without this advantage you will have trouble being found online and will not rank with the big search engines like google.  No matter how beautiful of a site you have built, if no one can find you online then you have no chance of getting any targeted traffic or making any money.  WordPress allows the non technical user the ability to easily add content, edit, and add media.  It’s wide range of plug-ins makes it the perfect platform to build your business. For information on having your blog built visit Page One Blog Designs.

Step 2 Increase Blog Traffic With An Email Marketing System.

Currently I use Aweber.  This will be one of your essential tools allowing you to create opt in forms(subscriber box), use autoresponders, or send out e-newsletters.  One of your primary goals is to build your list.  Your list will be your most valuable asset and it all starts with getting a good email marketing software system to help you increase blog traffic.

Step 3 Learning How To Increase Blog Traffic.

This is where the rubber meets the road.  Here is the part that some gurus don’t want to tell you.  It’s the toughest part of the equation when you are starting from scratch.  It takes traffic to get search engine rank and it takes rank to get traffic.  So I have compiled a list of techniques that will help you increase blog traffic.  Some are free and others will cost ya so here we go.

Step 4 Lets make some money

Almost everyone dreams of working from home, making your own hours, and being your own boss all while making a substantial income.  It can be done but if it was that easy then everyone would be doing it.  You will need to be creative, savvy, and consistent in your quest to make this dream come true.
1)    Decide what product, tool, system, or business opportunity you want to sell.
2)    Sign up as an affiliate for products, tools, and systems you are using.
3)    Become an expert on a particular niche topic.
4)    Build a list in your niche.
5)    Use email marketing to entice your list to buy your products.

Drive Traffic To Your Blog Part 1. How I Was Able To Increase Blog Traffic By 700% In Just 30 Days.

June 23rd, 2010 No Comments » Blogging

Mike Singer KidsAccording to Alexa web information company here are the top 10 internet sites in the USA.
1. Google
2. Facebook
3. Yahoo
4. YouTube
5. Amazon
6. Wikipedia
7. Craigslist
8. Ebay
9. Twitter
10. Windows Live

I know what you are thinking but let’s save the argument about the accuracy of Alexa for another blog.  For today let’s just say that 3 social sites are competing in the top ten most trafficked sites in America.  Who would have guessed that a few years ago.  Wow!

I think we all can agree that the holy grail for everyone trying to be successful online is driving traffic to a pre determined blog site, business platform, or lead capture page.  What I am getting at here is you need to pay attention to the big three social media platforms.  Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.

Work on what I call Social Proofing yourself.  Part of your daily routine should involve spending time building relationships on these 3 sites.  You need to participate in the online social scene.  Offer valuable information to your friends on facebook.  Post a video on youtube that others will find interesting.  Tweet a link to something that offers good content to your followers.  Build your list on these three sites and you will have social proofed yourself.

How does that increase blog traffic?  Using social media to drive traffic to your site is a little bit of an indirect method but is still an important piece of the puzzle that should not be ignored.  All of these sites have a profile section where you can put links to your site.  If you build relationships and one of your friends checks out your profile they might just end up clicking on your link.  Remember to focus on building relationships.  Best of all these sites are all free and for those of you on a tight budget, focusing your efforts here is a no brainer.

If you want some proof here it is.

Keep a look out for Part 2 of how to increase blog traffic.
